Pumpkin Hunt

Watch my Instagram reel here for how I will use some pumpkins, glow sticks, candy, and glow in the dark vampire teeth for a fun pumpkin hunt.

Halloween Scavenger Hunt

We have two different versions of our scavenger hunt we are going to do this year. The first one is a scavenger hunt for just five different Halloween things you can look for on days leading up to Halloween either when on a walk in the neighborhood or even when running errands in the car. I have also created cut-outs you can use to hide around the house and can have the kids try to find one each day or all at once. Click below for our easy scavenger hunt.

On Halloween, in another version of a scavenger hunt, I plan on having the girls search for clues I will write on some folded pieces of paper that my husband and I will help them read. Each clue will lead to another clue somewhere and eventually to their prizes. Great for any ages because it’s up to you on how hard or easy the clues may be. I then have a couple of prizes for the girls to each find. Both sets of prizes I chose for them were under $10. This too can be up to you on what you want the “rewards” to be.

Pumkin Painting

On Halloween, we plan on having my husband carve one of the bigger pumpkins we have but since the girls are still too young to do the carving they will paint instead! Like most of my painting activities, for more “worry-free mess” set up the project outside. On this day we actually ended up in our garage since it was way too windy to paint outdoors. It was still a lot less for me to worry about and easier to clean up. If you haven’t yet when you put a paintbrush and some paint in a one-year-old’s hand and you’ll be amazed at how fast they move!

I hope these get you off to a great start with some easy activities you can do on Halloween that will take little time and effort for you to set up and clean up all while giving the little one’s plenty of fun and excitement.
