Excited to share the next round of books that we are reading. I wish I could say that I have read through a few on my “to read” list but unfortunately, I haven’t been able to keep up. So instead this week I thought I would share my favorite board books along with our current children’s book we are reading.
I just love the First Look & Find board books. They are a sturdy, larger size to make it easier for little hands to learn how to turn the pages, and larger pictures to keep their focus. The younger they are the harder to get them to focus on books for very long but these actually help keep little one’s attention. It’s a great way to introduce them to books and the concept of reading which is never too early to start. As they get older they can interact by searching for the items highlighted on each page to seek and find. They are often color coordinated items too which offers another great skill to learn. In the back of the book there are more suggestions for activities to do on each page as well. I love the longevity I get out of these books. P is four years old now and still loves them and I am sure will for a few more years to come. Finally as if these books could not have any more perks to them, you can usually find them for under $10! The book I have been reading this week with the girls is Jessica Hische’s, Tomorrow I’ll Be Brave.
Jessica is the illustrator as well and her illustrations are not only gorgeous but bring the book to life.
Needless to say these beautiful illustrations help to keep your little one’s attention. The book highlights different traits such as being strong, smart, and of course brave to name just a few. An easy and enjoyable read that encourages the belief in one’s self while being comforting and encouraging all at the same time. Click HERE to add this sweet book to your library.
Check these out and let us know what you think!
